FHR Timesheets Application

The FHR Timesheets application is a comprehensive time-tracking solution designed to streamline the process of employee time management. Users can easily clock in and out, track their hours, and submit time-off requests, while managers have the ability to approve timesheets and time-off requests efficiently. The system also facilitates the submission of approved hours for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. With its user-friendly interface and robust approval workflow, FHR Timesheets simplifies time tracking, enhances accountability, and improves operational efficiency.

Overview

The FHR Timesheets Application was designed to streamline time tracking, approval workflows, and payroll processing for employees across the organization. As the Product Manager for this project, I worked closely with HR, operations, and payroll teams to create a comprehensive solution that automates time entry, request submissions, and timesheet approvals, while improving efficiency and reducing errors. The system simplifies employee clock-in/out, time-off requests, and ensures accurate payroll submission with real-time data updates and notifications.

Problem

Before the introduction of the FHR Timesheets Application, the company relied on manual timesheet entries and paper-based approval processes. This led to time tracking errors, delayed payroll submissions, and inefficiencies in managing employee hours and time-off requests. With increasing employee numbers and growing operational complexity, the need for a scalable, automated solution became critical to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the entire workforce.

My Role

As the Product Manager, I was responsible for gathering requirements from stakeholders across HR, payroll, and operations teams to ensure the application addressed the core business needs. I led the development process, working closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and accurate data processing. I also prioritized features, managed the product roadmap, and ensured that all stakeholder needs were met throughout the product lifecycle.

Challenges

One of the key challenges was integrating the system with existing payroll and HR systems to ensure smooth data flow and minimize errors. We also needed to balance simplicity for end users (employees) with the complexity of the approval and submission workflows for managers and HR staff. Additionally, implementing a on site tablet Clock in station and interface was critical for employees in the production facility who needed to easily clock in/out.

Outcome

The FHR Timesheets Application has been successfully implemented across the organization, significantly reducing the time spent on manual timesheet entries and approval processes. The automation of time tracking and payroll submission has minimized errors, improved compliance, and sped up payroll processing times. Employees now have a more efficient, self-service platform for managing their hours and requests, while managers and HR staff have real-time visibility into timesheet data, enabling faster decision-making and reporting.
